Miss Maureen C. Walsh and Mr. Stephen T. Whitfield take great pleasure in announcing their engagement.Maureen is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She is currently employed as a Banking Center Manager with Centura Bank.

Stephen, a Norfolk native, graduated from Randolph Macon University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Stephen is a Financial Advisor with IJL/Wachovia. Their wedding ceremony will be in October of 2000 at Sacred Heart Church in Norfolk.
