Miss Maureen C. Walsh and Mr. Stephen T. Whitfield take great pleasure in announcing their marriage.

Maureen is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She is currently employed as a Banking Center Manager with Centura Bank. Maureen's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Walsh of Pittsburgh,PA and Mr. and Mrs. John Perlinger of Renfrew, PA

Stephen, a Norfolk native, graduated from Randolph Macon University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Artsdegree in Political Science. Stephen is a Financial Advisor with IJL/Wachovia.Stephen's parents are Bob and Agnes Whitfield of Virginia Beach, VA.

Their wedding ceremony was held October 27, 2000 at Sacred Heart Church in Norfolk. The best man was Michael J. Whitfield, the groom's brother, and the maid of honor was the bride's sister
Tricia Walsh. The bridesmaids were: Amber Dorian, Elizabeth A. Czernicki, Michele L. Machamer, Michelle L. Whitfield (wife of the best man), and Melissa D. Green. The groomsmen were: E. Toles Summers, David W. Holder, Thomas C. Forchas, Robert F. Thorndike, and Peter. D. Forchas. The ceremony was performed by Rev. John Jay Wagner III. The couple honeymooned in Maui for 10 days and are residing in Norfolk.
